Superheroes, Comics and Video Games: ProChile Promotes the Projection of the Chilean Creative Industry at Comic-Con San Diego 2026
The institution had an official stand at one of the most relevant fairs in the world, where 5 Chilean companies from the Valparaiso and Atacama regions participated.
Among superheroes, comics, and video games, Chile had a presence at Comic-Con San Diego 2026. ProChile participated in the convention, which took place from July 22 to July 26 at the San Diego Convention Center, California, with an official booth from where it promoted the international projection of the Chilean creative industry, with a special focus on graphic narrative and its connection with the video game industry.
In this edition, the company from the Valparaíso region, GoDemos, participated. GoDemos is a creative and technological platform specialized in the voice-over industry, with applications in the audiovisual and video game industries, one of the sectors with the greatest projection within the creative industries globally.
To her was added a commercial mission featuring four companies from the Atacama region: Tierra Culta Publishing, Contra Huella Publishing, Satan Publishing, and Flamenco Negro Productions, who arrived at Comic-Con ready to open new markets and establish connections with distributors, publishing houses, and international studios present at the trade fair.
"San Diego Comic-Con is a unique showcase for displaying Chilean creative talent to a global audience. Having an official booth allowed us to support companies in their internationalization process and pave the way towards a sector with huge growth potential, such as graphic narrative and its connection with video games," said Patricio Lynch, trade commissioner of ProChile in Los Angeles.
Comic-Con San Diego is visited by around 135,000 people every year and has established itself as one of the most important events in the world for pop culture, comics, and entertainment, bringing together each year studios, publishing houses, video game developers, and thousands of specialized visitors.
For the Chilean companies present, the fair represented a strategic platform to showcase and commercialize creative content to a highly segmented international audience.
