"Avengers: Doomsday": Marvel unveils star-studded cast and kicks off production
The film that is part of Phase 6 of the MCU, will be directed by brothers Anthony and Joseph Russo, and brings back stars of the caliber of Patrick Stewart who plays Charles Xavier/Professor X and Ian McKellen, who has portrayed Magneto in the X-Men movies.

Marvel has done it again! If in 2024 it set fans on fire with the confirmation that Robert Downey Jr. would be returning to the MCU to portray Doomsday in the midst of ComicCon (epic moment), this Wednesday it shared a series of videos on Instagram with the names that make up the cast of "Avengers: Doomsday", causing a sensation on social media.
In the video, in addition to the chairs with each of the cast members' names, it is accompanied by the music that characterizes each of the productions, both those of the MCU and those of the X-Men. "Avengers: Doomsday" is part of Marvel's Phase Six, just like the films "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" and "Thunderbolts".

The film will be directed by the Russo brothers, Anthony and Joseph, (Captain America and the Winter Soldier 2014; Captain America: Civil War (2016), and the two Avengers installments of 2018 and 2019.
The parade of iconic MCU figures begins with Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon; Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier; and Paul Rudd as Ant-Man.
The new superheroes are also joining, including Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Letitia Wright (Shuri), Winston Duke (Mu2019Baku), Tenoch Huerta (Namor from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), Danny Ramirez (Joaquin Torres/Falcon), David Harbour (Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova) and Hannah John-Kamen (Ava Starr/Ghost) and Lewis Pullman as Robert Reynolds/Sentry.
Meanwhile, the new protagonists of "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" are also part of the cast with the chilean Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic; Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch.
X-MEN IN THE RING
Among the key figures is the inclusion of Patrick Stewart, who brings Charles Xavier/Professor X to life, and Ian McKellen, who has portrayed Magneto in the X-Men movies. Also joining are Kelsey Grammer (Hank McCoy/Beast), Alan Cumming, who played Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler in X-Men 2 (2003); Rebecca Romijn as Mystique; James Marsden as Scott Summers/Cyclops; and the new Marvel star, Channing Tatum, who debuted as Gambit in Deadpool and Wolverine (2024).
