"This is not over, far from it": Stranger Things releases new trailer for volume 2 of Season 5
The first four episodes of Stranger Things 5 are already available on Netflix, followed by the three episodes of Volume 2 on Christmas Day and the Finale on December 31st.
"Everything we think we know about the Upside Down is totally wrong," is the phrase said by Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), with a defeated look in the new trailer for Stranger Things 5, Volume 2.
In the second chapter of the final season, which premieres on Christmas Day with three episodes, our heroes race against time to unravel the darkest secrets of Hawkins.
In the preview images, we can see how Will (Noah Schnapp) tells Joyce (Winona Ryder), "We failed". His mother, embracing him, disagrees. "This isn't over", says Joyce. "Not by a long shot". And indeed, the two-minute trailer offers thrill after thrill, from a death pact between Dustin and Steve (Joe Keery) to an electrocuted Demogorgon.
Then, of course, there's the question of how Will will channel his mysterious new powers, revealed at the end of the Volume 1.

"We always knew that Will has a connection with Vecna and the Upside Down," says creator, executive producer, screenwriter and director Ross Duffer. "In the second season, we started delving into it, but one of the first ideas for the new season was: 'What if Will could harness this connection and use it against our villains?' It also seemed very natural to refocus the story on Will. He was the boy who was kidnapped in the first season, so it seemed appropriate for the story to come full circle. If anyone was going to be key to defeating Vecna, it had to be Will."
According to Matarazzo, Will's powers will "change the game" for the teenagers of Hawkins. "I think that puts us on an equal footing. I'm sure that, objectively, it terrifies Vecna," he said. As Finn Wolfhard (Mike) says: "We have two Elevens."
In the final moments of the trailer, Vecna stealthily approaches while declaring that it's time for a "new world".
