Premiere of Stranger Things 5th season tops Netflix's Global Top 10

Following its premiere on November 26, Stranger Things 5, Volume 1 reached the top spot of the global Top 10 on Netflix in English-speaking series in 90 countries within its first release week, accumulating 59.6 million views around the world.

While Eleven, Will, and the rest of the Hawkins gang continue their battle against Vecna for the fate of the world, and we are left on tenterhooks awaiting the grand finale; the premiere of volume 1 surprised fans from different parts of the globe.

After its premiere on November 26th, Stranger Things 5, Volume 1 reached the top of the Netflix Global Top 10 for English-language series in 90 countries in its first week of release, accumulating 59.6 million views worldwide.

The anticipated premiere of the final season also boosted the viewings of previous seasons, which also ranked in the global top 10 this week, leaving the first season in 3rd place (8.9 million views), the fourth season in 5th place (6.1 million), the second season in 6th place (5.6 million), and the third season in 8th place (4.6 million).

In Chile, this success is replicated, not only did the fifth season reach the top spot, but the previous seasons also ranked among the most viewed: season 1 (2nd), season 4 (5th), season 2 (6th), season 3 (7th).

Moreover, the Stranger Things phenomenon has caused the four previous seasons to accumulate 1.2 billion views to date since its premiere.

In this regard, the Duffer brothers expressed to Tudum: "The amount of fans who have already seen Volume 1 is astonishing; the response has been greater than we ever could have imagined. The following three episodes of Stranger Things 5 will premiere on December 26th and the Grand Finale will be available on January 1st.
