Xiaomi 14 series will be available from May 6 in Chile: this will be its price and specifications

Xiaomi 14

On the verge of being a reality in Chilean retail, Xiaomi has already made the official announcement of the new Series 14 smartphone, which bets everything on competing seriously in the high-end with its powerful camera developed in partnership with Leica.

The Series 14, in both the normal and Ultra versions, will come with the latest hardware technologies, ensuring maximum performance thanks to its new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen processor.

The flagship

In its design, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is designed with a high-strength aluminum frame, Xiaomi’s nano-tech vegan leather, and Xiaomi Shield Glass. The panel will be a 6.73″ Xiaomi-custom C8 WQHD+ Amoled, which also features a WQHD+ (3200 x 1440) resolution, a pixel density of 522 dpi, and a variable refresh rate of 1-120Hz, backed by a peak brightness of an impressive 3000 nits.

And now for the big part: the configuration of that characteristic round module will offer a quad camera, with focal lengths ranging from 12 mm to 120 mm. Its main camera, equipped with a stepless variable aperture from ƒ/1.63 to ƒ/4.0, offers smooth exposure adjustments in various scenarios. The integration of an ultra-large one-inch LYT-900 image sensor with a dynamic range of up to 14EV promises exceptional image quality even in challenging environments.

The main sensor is accompanied by the Leica 75mm floating telephoto camera, the Leica 120mm periscope camera and the Leica 12mm ultra-wide-angle camera.

In terms of video, the Ultra version will support 8K recording at 30fps on all four cameras. Its main camera supports 4K recording at 120fps and is adaptable to 5x slow-motion effects. Also, at 4K resolution, it offers full-range zoom at 60fps. The device also supports Dolby Vision recording in 4K at 60fps and features stabilization for smooth video capture.

The Normal Version: Compact but Powerful

The Xiaomi 14 will measure just 152.8mm x 71.5mm x 8.20mm. In terms of cutouts, it will feature triple cameras (and not four like its big brother), covering a focal range of 14mm to 75mm. It will feature Leica Summilux optical lenses with an improved ƒ/1.6 aperture in the main camera, combined with the Light Fusion 900 image sensor and offering up to 13.5 EV of dynamic range. In addition, the resolution of the Leica 14mm ultra-wide-angle camera has been upgraded to 50MP, while offering the Leica 75mm floating telephoto lens, with a minimum focusing distance of just 10cm.

In terms of display, the Xiaomi 14 will feature an eye-catching 6.36″ 1.5K (2670 x 1200) CrystalRes AMOLED display. The pixel density of the display will reach 460ppi, and the panel will reach a maximum brightness equal to that of the ultra version: 3000 nits. The same goes for the variable refresh rate on the display, which will go all the way up to 120Hz

In terms of battery and charging, both the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra are equipped with the Xiaomi Surge battery management system. The smaller one is powered by a 4610mAh battery that supports 90W HyperCharge and 50W HyperCharge wireless. On the other hand, the 14 Ultra features a larger 5000mAh battery with 90W HyperCharge along with the latest 80W wireless charging technology.

Google One

Both the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra will include four generations of Android OS updates, as well as 5 years of security patches.
