Rocketbot in Brazil: The strategy behind the growth of the Chilean scale up in the most competitive market in LATAM
One year after the start of its operations in the South American giant, one of the most complex and strategic markets in Latin America, the Chilean scale-up specializing in APA has exceeded its initial projections. Today, it has more than 30 active clients in at least ten states of that country and a technological proposal that continues to gain ground in multiple industries.
For many, Brazil is a continent unto itself. Its cultural diversity, tax complexity, and unique way of doing business make it one of the most challenging markets in the region. Therefore, the success that Rocketbot is currently experiencing in Brazilian lands is doubly commendable. After two previous attempts without the expected results, the third time was the charm: today, the operation led by Matías Leiva celebrates a year exceeding all the expectations that the scale up, specialists in Agentic Process Automation (APA, for its acronym in English), had when landing in that country.
Since the official announcement of the expansion in May 2024, the strategy has been clear: operate with a local team, leverage market knowledge, and build close, genuine relationships, a formula that has borne fruit: Rocketbot Brazil already has more than 30 active clients, surpassing the initial goal of 22, and maintaining a closure rate of two to new clients per month.
This growth is reflected not only in numbers, but also in diversity. This client portfolio includes everyone from small businesses to large multinationals, in industries such as agro, health, education, manufacturing, financial services, and retail. And the geographical coverage is equally impressive: Rocketbot is not only present in cities like São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, but also in more than ten states of that nation; including Pará (Amazonas), Bahia, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso and Rio Grande do Sul, among others.
Contacts and Knowledge of Local Culture: The Key Factors
This success was not accidental. Leiva, a Chilean with six years of experience working in Brazil in the areas of automation and artificial intelligence, already had a solid understanding of the environment and a network of contacts that were key to driving the first implementations. That was supplemented by local marketing work, participation in specialized events, and a business strategy focused on cultural proximity.

"In Brazil, if you don't speak Portuguese natively, you're already considered a 'gringo'. And if you also arrive with a distant or disinterested attitude towards their culture, doors simply do not open," Leiva comments. He adds that "understanding this was crucial: here business begins with a relaxed conversation about the weather, football, or the weekend's feijoada. Empathy, humility, and respect for the local have been as important as the product itself."
Rocketbot has managed to demonstrate that its value proposition - affordable automation and artificial intelligence for businesses of all sizes - has traction in one of the most competitive markets in the world. And it has done so with concrete results: according to team estimates, the operation is already bordering on $20,000 monthly in recurring revenues, a figure that continues to rise.
One year after its official landing in Brazil, Rocketbot not only managed to consolidate itself, but is also shaping up as one of the key engines of the company's global growth for the coming years. With loyal customers, a strong local team, and a flexible product that adapts to multiple industries, the future promises to continue surprising.
In fact, July will be a key month to further strengthen its positioning: the company will participate in Automation Fair Brazil and the RPA & AI Expo, two of the most important events in the sector in that country. These instances will not only allow showcasing the technological advances of the platform, but also connect with new strategic allies and continue driving digital transformation in Latin America.
