Applications will be pre-screened by a committee consisting of representatives of Business Turku, Monttu Ventures and Boost Turku. The final decisions are made by the City of Turku.
Turku's innovation ecosystem continues to strongly support emerging talent. Boost Turku, together with Business Turku and Monttu Ventures, has opened a new application round for the PoC Grant (Proof of Concept) — a fund that offers up to €6,000 to students and academics to help turn innovative ideas into real businesses.
Who is it for?
The grant is open to students and academic staff from institutions such as the University of Turku, Åbo Akademi, Turku University of Applied Sciences, Yrkeshögskolan Novia, and HUMAK. There is no need to be affiliated with an incubator — all you need is a good idea with growth potential.
What does the grant cover?
Funding can be used for prototypes, user research, market validation, or even to cover living expenses during the initial 3-month development period. The goal is to reduce the uncertainty of launching a business.
Application deadline: June 1, 2025, at 23:59 (Finnish time).
Applications will be pre-screened by a committee consisting of representatives of Business Turku, Monttu Ventures and Boost Turku. The final decisions are made by the City of Turku.
With a total budget of €40,000 for 2025 allocated by the City of Turku, this fund aims to connect science, education, and entrepreneurship, supporting projects that can scale from the university environment to the real market. More information: boostturku.com/poc-grant
