Outscape raises USD 600,000 in its first capital round with SDK to boost ecotourism in Chile
The investment will allow the company to expand its sustainable ecotourism model, with plans to reach 200 shelters throughout Chile and replicate the model in natural areas and parks in the United States.
Outscape, a Chilean startup that offers nature accommodation experiences through modular 'tiny homes' located on private lands of great natural appeal, such as the Huilo Huilo reserve, has closed its first capital round of USD 600,000 with the support of SDK through its Sustainable Tourism Fund.
With more than 30 shelters distributed in four regions of the country, the company projects sustained growth, planning the creation of four new sets annually for the next five years. This will allow them to reach a total of 200 shelters, with at least one in each region of Chile.

"This investment will not only allow us to grow and expand our operations, but it also validates our vision and commitment to more sustainable and mindful tourism. In addition, we aim to generate a positive impact on local communities, supporting local enterprises and community projects, and promoting tourism development in the areas where we operate," said Francisco Tagle, CEO of Outscape.
In this regard, Tagle maintained that his approach has been to provide authentic experiences in the places where they are embedded, some of them like Vibo Wine Lodge developed for the Viu Manent winery, "considered as one of the most successful new project launches within post-pandemic hospitality, highlighted by the global magazine Independent as one of the best vineyard stays worldwide and recently nominated among the top 50 in Chile", he specified.
"In the short term, we aim to be the leading reference for outdoor-focused accommodation throughout Chile. We plan on replicating the model in natural areas and parks in the United States," emphasized the CEO of Outscape.
