iPhone 16: End to the traditional silence button and new "super button" for camera
The devices were developed with Apple Intelligence, larger screens, new creative and innovative capabilities for Pro camera functionalities, graphic enhancements for immersive gaming with the power of the A18 Pro chip.
This Tuesday, the bitten apple company introduced its new flagships, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus; iPhone 16Pro and 16Pro MAX, which among its main design innovations include the end of the silence button, moving to a customizable action button (Action Button), and welcoming a new side camera control button (Camera Control), which aims to provide greater comfort when accessing it to take photographs or videos.
The devices were developed with Apple Intelligence, larger screens, new creative and innovative capabilities for the Pro camera features, graphic enhancements for immersive gaming with the power of the A18 Pro chip.
"The iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus mark the beginning of a new era for the iPhone with Apple Intelligence, offering powerful personal and private experiences to users," commented Kaiann Drance, Vice President of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing at Apple.
"With the power of the faster and more efficient A18 Pro chip, created for Apple Intelligence, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are the most advanced iPhone models to date," said Greg Joswiak, senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing at Apple.
Action Button
These were years in which the mute button was present on the iPhone, however, among the innovations that this iPhone 16 brings (in all its versions) is its "evolution", called Action Button becoming a button that allows users to open the camera, the flashlight, or the controls; turn on or off the silence mode; recognize music with Shazam; activate voice notes, focus, translate, and accessibility functions like a magnifying glass, or use shortcuts for even more options.

The Action Button can also be used to access a feature within an app, such as opening and closing the car with FordPass (for those who have these types of cars). It is the farewell to the traditional "silencer", which without a doubt, some of us will miss.
Camera Control

In this new iPhone 16 (in all its versions), one of the most significant design updates is the side button "Camera Control", which is the result of hardware and software integration. This is the new button introduced by Apple, aiming to allow users to access the camera quicker and easier with just one click, enabling them to frame the shot and adjust other control options like zoom, exposure, and depth of field to achieve an impressive photo or video by simply sliding their finger.
Later this year, the functionality will feature visual intelligence to provide more information about objects and places just by opening the camera and focusing.
- +from Apple Intelligence
This feature present in both models is an easy-to-use personal intelligence system that relies on personal context to provide useful and relevant information, while still protecting the privacy of users.
In this regard, Apple Intelligence will be available as a free software update. The first set of features will be available next month in English, in the United States, and in most regions of the world.
- Apple Intelligence as a work tool
One of the possibilities that iPhone 16 users will have is that thanks to the writing tool, they will be able to edit notes or emails, to make them more informal if necessary, or on the contrary, make them more professional, review grammar, word choice and sentence structures, and summarize selected texts to make them easier to understand.

If you are one of those who have several meetings a day, when recording begins during a call on the Phone app, the participants are automatically notified that the call is being recorded, and once it is finished, Apple Intelligence generates a summary of the most important points.
Apple Intelligence also helps them set priorities with summarized notifications and Priority Messages in Mail, a feature of Apple Intelligence that understands the content of emails and displays the most urgent ones. In the inbox, summaries convey the most important information from each email instead of displaying the first lines of the message.
THE NEWS OF THE IPHONE 16PRO AND 16PROMAX.
The new Pro models have the highest frame rate and resolution combination in an iPhone, thanks to the new 48MP Fusion camera with a faster quad pixel sensor that allows for 4K Dolby Vision video recording at 120 fps.
It also features the new 48 MP ultra wide-angle camera for higher resolution photography, including macro photos, a 5x telephoto camera in both Pro models and studio-quality microphones for more realistic audio.
It is in this context that they announced that the new music video for The Weeknd's song "Dancing in the Flames" was entirely shot using the iPhone 16 Pro in Cinematic Slow Motion 4K 120cps mode.
The iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max can now take spatial photos and videos so users can relive cherished memories with stunning depth on the Apple Vision Pro.
The iPhone 16 Pro line also features new creative ways to edit video sound with Audio Mix, which allows adjusting the sound after recording to focus on the voice of the person on camera, make voices sound as if they were recorded in a professional studio, or position voice tracks at the front and environmental sounds around.
With the functionality that reduces wind noise, powerful machine learning algorithms reduce unwanted sound to achieve better audio quality.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
