CES 2025: LGs AI In-Vehicle experience to enhance safety and comfort in cabins
Using Vision AI, it detects and responds to the needs of the vehicles occupants, optimizing the conditions within the cabin.
LG Electronics (LG) will present its latest innovation at CES 2025, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada between 7th and 10th of January 2025, under the name "AI In-Vehicle Experience" from LG.
What is it about? This AI-based in-cabin detection solution is designed to provide enhanced safety and convenience to the driving experience, leveraging LG's Vision AI solution to detect and respond to the needs of the vehicle's occupants, while optimizing conditions within the cabin.
Under the slogan "Life's Good 24/7 With Affectionate Intelligence", this AI-based detection solution will be showcased alongside other AI innovations from LG at the company's booths at CES 2025.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The AI experience in the vehicle begins by detecting and analyzing both the driver and the interior of the car in real time through two key systems: the Driver Monitoring System (DMS) and the Driver and Interior Monitoring System (DIMS). Both systems, powered by Vision AI, will be demonstrated through immersive and interactive simulations at CES, which will allow attendees to experience the interior of the future vehicle. These simulations will highlight how LG's technology can accurately analyze driving conditions and the driver's status in real time, offering a practical preview of the AI-enabled in-vehicle experience.

At the heart of LG's vision for innovation in mobility, the AI-driven in-cabin sensor solution intuitively adapts to individual preferences and needs, offering customized services such as personalized driving routes, real-time updates on road conditions, and information on nearby infrastructure and points of interest.
The DMS can identify the driver's physical health and emotional state through real-time monitoring of heart rate and recognition of facial expressions. This system helps improve road safety by alerting users to their level of alertness and overall well-being, as well as providing them with an easy way to track their health over time.
The use of Vision AI and sophisticated in-cabin sensors underscores LG's commitment to implementing cutting-edge innovations that enhance the mobility experience.
"With LG's Affective Intelligence technology, LG's exceptional cabin solution offers car manufacturers performance, quality, and flexibility, while providing drivers and passengers with a safer and more enjoyable on-road experience," stated Eun Seok-hyun, President of LG Vehicle Solution Company.
