The year 2025 will mark 16 years since the first Unpacked event held by Samsung in 2009, where on that occasion the Korean brand presented the Samsung Jet (S8000), with the year 2010 marking the start of the presentation of the Galaxy S family.

Over the years, each Unpacked event has stood out for showcasing key advancements, from cutting-edge displays to professional-grade cameras and artificial intelligence integration.

And this 2025, Samsung will present the next evolution of Galaxy AI, indicating to us that it will "change the way you interact with the world every day".

When is the Galaxy Unpacked 2025?

The Unpacked 2025 will be held on January 22 at 15:00 hours (Chile time) from San Jose, California.

The event will be broadcast live through Samsung.com and the official YouTube channel, allowing users to closely follow all the updates.

15 YEARS SINCE THE FIRST UNPACKED "GALAXY S"

2010 - 2014: The birth of the smart smartphone.

The history of Galaxy Unpacked events began in 2010 with the launch of the first Galaxy S, a device that stood out for its Super AMOLED screen and its compact design of 9.9 mm thickness. This model inaugurated a new era in smartphones, establishing Samsung as a key player in the mobile market.

Subsequently, the Galaxy S2 (2011) improved performance with the Exynos 4 Dual processor, and the Galaxy S3 (2012) introduced a curved design along with smart features such as Smart Stay and Direct Call. In 2013, the Galaxy S4 presented advances such as Gorilla Glass 3 protection and innovative functions like Smart Scroll, while the Galaxy S5 (2014) incorporated an ISOCELL camera, water resistance, and a heart rate sensor.

2015 - 2017: The Jump to edge screens and the infinity display

In 2015, the Galaxy S6 marked a before and after with the introduction of the curved Edge screens, which became a distinctive hallmark of the brand. This device also incorporated wireless charging and the Samsung Pay payment system.

The Galaxy S7 (2016) improved the camera with Dual Pixel technology, and the Galaxy S8 (2017) introduced the Infinity Display, a nearly bezel-less screen that offered an unprecedented immersive experience. Finally, in 2024, the Galaxy S24 debuted with Galaxy AI, positioning Samsung as the first tech brand to integrate Artificial Intelligence into their mobile devices. This model also introduced a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display capable of reaching a brightness of 2500 nits, ideal for extreme light conditions, and a continuous zoom system for smooth captures at any level of zoom.
