Vendimia Fest 2024: more than 40 wineries from the country will be present at the Barrio Italia event
The wine event will be on April 20 and 21, in the heart of Barrio Italia, with stands tasting vines from all wine regions, gastronomy, live music, art and local entrepreneurs.
The great urban wine festival that brings a traditional peasant custom to the city already has a launch date. Vendimia Fest 2024, one of the most anticipated events for wine and gastronomy lovers, will be held on April 20 and 21 in Barrio Italia -on Av. Italy, between Marín and Caupolicán-, both days from 12:00 noon to 22:00 (Saturday) and 20 hours (Sunday).
Organized by Vinos de Chile together with the Municipality of Providencia and its Directorate of Local Development, this year Vendimia Fest expects to bring together 45 thousand people around wine, through talks and special tastings.
In this edition, 41 wineries from the different wine valleys of the country will participate in the wine event. Among the main attractions will be the iconic grape treading, tasting stands of vineyards from all wine regions, artists and live music, as well as sales spaces for local businesses.

“We are very happy to launch this Vendimia Fest 2024. This great urban festival allows us to bring to the city this traditional peasant custom that is part of Chilean culture, we are a country of wine!”, said the commercial director of Vinos de Chile, Angélica Valenzuela.
He added, “This is an invitation to connect with our roots and celebrate a new harvest year. We invite you to be part of this party, with 40 tasting stalls of vineyards from all wine regions, gastronomy, live music, art and local entrepreneurs who will be part of the experience, which seeks to promote the culture of wine, educating about its quality, diversity and benefits of responsible consumption.”
Mayor Evelyn Matthei said that “the strategic alliance established several years ago with Vinos de Chile, in addition to the collaboration with trade associations and local enterprises, have been fundamental to make this festival a reality that not only unites us around wine, but also promotes the economic reactivation and cultural identity of Barrio Italia. being a powerful testimony of how cooperation can generate a positive impact on the commune.”

Given that sustainability is also one of the values that characterizes the national wine industry, the event will have clean and recycling points – located at both entrances – and carbon footprint measurement.
Vendimia Fest is a completely free access activity, however, attendees who wish to taste will be able to buy drinks in the same place for a value of $16,000, which include 4 tasting tickets.
