IGNITE Copilot: AI tool seeks to assist teachers in educational planning

Teachers face increasing workloads in many parts of the world, dedicating much of their time to administrative tasks that could be automated. AI and other technologies can reduce the time spent on these tasks by 60%, allowing teachers to focus more on direct teaching and emotional support for students.
In this context IGNITE, a multidisciplinary team of educators and engineers developed in Spain a web solution called IGNITE Copilot, which is a software as a service (SaaS), available for teachers (PLUS mode) and educational centers (ENTERPRISE mode) throughout Spain for the 24/25 academic year.
This generative tool surpasses the limited approach of traditional resources such as books, Google, or Wikipedia, training primary and secondary school teachers in the effective use of AI in educational planning, in a format in accordance with current educational regulations (LOMLOE) and international standards (UNESCO and OECD).
The Organic Law for the Modification of the LOE (LOMLOE - Spain) opened the door for learning to be competency-based, moving students from knowing to doing. This provides an ideal scenario for teachers to design didactic sequences supported by AI quickly and effectively.
In Spain, about 70% of teachers have already experimented with this technology, according to the report "The Impact of AI on Education in Spain" prepared by Empantallados.com and Gad3.
AI would allow teachers to save between 6 and 15 hours per week
For example, in the creation of educational materials and resources, teachers dedicate about 5 hours weekly to tasks such as searching for existing resources, creating their own materials, or integrating educational technology. With AI tools like IGNITE Copilot, instead of 5 hours, only 90 minutes would be needed.
The assessment and customization of educational content takes about 8 hours a week, but with the implementation of AI, it would be reduced to only 4 and a half hours. In total, the weekly savings would be between 6 and 15 hours.
"We are facing a productivity tool that saves time by generating structured and quality educational content, adapted to the individual needs of the students," explains the company's founder, Ignacio Aso.

Parallel to this, the web application provides a comprehensive AI strategy for teachers that improves the efficiency and productivity of the center, reduces publishing costs, and positions the center as a pioneer in the use of AI with the 'Copilot Seal'.
