From Local Export Recognition to Global Impact
The award’s origins date back to the Turku Chamber of Commerce Export Award, which evolved in 2023 into the WTC Turku Internationalization Award — now organized jointly by World Trade Center Turku and regional organizations promoting global business expansion.
According to Jari Rastas, Consul General and Chair of WTC Turku, the award represents "a recognition of companies that not only expand abroad but also strengthen the entire region’s international profile."
A Gathering of Business Leaders and Global Thinkers
This year’s program includes a keynote address by Professor Niina Nummela from the University of Turku, and a panel discussion moderated by Olli Hakala from the Turku Chamber of Commerce, featuring:
- Minna Arve, CEO, Business Turku
- Jutta Wirén, CEO, Entrepreneurs of Southwest Finland
- Petteri Rinne, CEO, OP Turun Seutu
- A representative of the 2025 Award-winning company
The discussion will explore the drivers of growth and innovation among Turku-based companies and how internationalization is shaping the future of business in the region.
The event will conclude with networking and open discussion over coffee — an opportunity for attendees to connect and exchange insights on how to sustain global competitiveness in an evolving economic landscape.
