Viper: Chilean scale up consolidates its work with firefighters and focuses on applying their technology in public safety
One of their objectives is to include public institutions, with the goal of their tool becoming a 360 ecosystem in terms of managing different types of emergencies.
With a technological platform that integrates artificial intelligence, multiple communication channels and a cloud-based SaaS model, VIPER is transforming the way firefighters, ambulances and public safety services respond to critical incidents. Thus, the Chilean scale-up is establishing itself as a key player in emergency management in Chile and Latin America.
In Chile, 96 bodies of firefighters currently use the platform, of which 42 joined just in 2024, covering more than 75% of the country's population. This year, the platform managed thousands of emergencies, including road accidents and rural fires. In a flagship case in the Los Ríos Region, firefighters were able to georeference a home in a remote area through WhatsApp, reaching the place directly in record time, just to give an example.
"Thanks to our technology, dispatches can be made in 40 seconds or less, which makes a crucial difference in situations where every second counts. On the other hand, we want to become a 360 notification service, which can cover firefighters, police, public safety and ambulances within the same platform, thus further optimizing vital time to save lives," says Camilo Salazar, COO and co-founder of VIPER.

From Chile to Latin America
And 2025 comes loaded with new bets aimed at consolidating the Chilean scale up at a regional level. "We have identified that our technology is highly adaptable to different markets in the region. In countries like Ecuador and Argentina, we are seeing how emergency teams are quickly adopting our solutions. This gives us tremendous confidence to face the challenges awaiting us in Mexico and Colombia, where we also project a great participation thanks to the similarity of their needs with those of Chile", says Salazar. How will they get to this? Through the development and integration of artificial intelligence in dispatch systems, a project which was endorsed and co-financed by CORFO in 2024.
