Chilean scaleup Rocketbot begins its expansion into Asia from Taiwan
Participation in this initiative, driven by the Taiwanese government and IAPS, marks a new chapter for the national scaleup, representing Chile and Latin America in one of the most competitive technological ecosystems in the world.
The Chilean scaleup Rocketbot, specialized in Agent Process Automation (APA) solutions, has been selected as the main participant in an important program from the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University of Taiwan, which aims to facilitate the entry of international tech companies into the Taiwanese ecosystem, especially in areas such as smart manufacturing, automation, AI, and robotics.
In this way, the company focusing on APA (an acronym in English referring to the evolution of traditional RPA towards digital agents that understand, reason and execute tasks like a human), represents Chile in the Soft Landing Program 2025, organized by the Center of Industry Accelerator and Patent Strategy (IAPS) from the aforementioned Asian nation's academic institution. "The selection of Rocketbot in the first place among startups and scaleups from all over the world validates the potential of our technology and marks a turning point in our international expansion," says Juan Jorge Herrera, CEO of Rocketbot, who is attending the program representing the company.
In this regard, the executive emphasizes that their participation was possible thanks to the support of ProChile, along with the Government of Taiwan and the IAPS. This joint effort shows how collaboration between countries can open real doors for the internationalization of companies like Rocketbot. Herrera affirms that they are grateful, especially to ProChile, for facilitating this bridge with Asia.

What does the program consist of?
During three intensive weeks, the program attendees will participate in fairs, mentoring sessions, and matchmaking activities with local companies and institutions. In addition, they will visit different cities to closely understand the Taiwanese technological and industrial ecosystem. The goal is to establish connections with R&D centers, technical talent, and key players in the Asian industry.
"We want to find strategic partners, get to know investor networks from the Asian ecosystem, generate international networking, and study how to adapt our value proposition to the Taiwanese market, and, by extension, to other Asian markets," said the executive shortly before embarking on a trip to the Asian country. Rocketbot already has a strong presence in Latin America and is working on its expansion in the United States, but this step is key to reach one of the most attractive markets in the world in terms of automation.

Likewise, the CEO adds that "representing Chile in a program like this, being the only Latin American company attending and leading the list of selected globally, is a pride and a clear sign that innovation in APA (where tasks are no longer automated in isolation, nor do robots operate under strict rules, but now bots emulate our most intrinsic human aspect: analytical and interpretation abilities) from our region has a global projection".
This new milestone for Rocketbot not only represents a strategic step towards the east, but also validates the innovation capacity of Latin American companies in the technological field. With this initiative, the scaleup seeks to consolidate its presence in the Asian market and to contribute to the strengthening of commercial and technological ties between Chile and Asia.
