Three Chilean startups will be part of the Spanish accelerator Lanzadera

These are BondUP, Aictive, SmertGroup will participate in a face-to-face program of a duration of six months, extendable.

The call, which began on March 1, selected more than 100 startups from various parts of the world. These companies, driven by technology such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality and digital platforms, seek to transform key sectors such as finance, health, circular economy, fashion, among others, with the aim of improving and optimizing their processes.

The startups selected by the Spanish business accelerator Lanzadera, belonging to Marina de Empresas and driven by Juan Roig , President of Mercadona, will participate in a face-to-face program lasting six months, which can be extended, the pillars of which are the Total Quality Model, talent management, financial education, the focus on increasing customers, investment and product development.

Of the startups selected for this new version, only three are Chilean. Among them is BondUP , which developed the first platform exclusively for seniors in Chile. In addition to SmertGroup, which is dedicated to the digitization of buildings to reduce the response time of emergency teams, and Aictive , healthtech that created a telematic kinesiology rehabilitation platform.

BondUP is the first web entertainment, health and wellness platform in Latin America designed exclusively for people over 55 years of age. Through its website, it is possible to connect with new friends, participate in panoramas, workshops, social activities and at the same time, enjoy health benefits.

Michelle Schnitzer, CEO and co-founder, says that Spain is years ahead of Chile in the integration of older people into society in all areas, so gaining experience to optimize the Chilean market is one of the main objectives.

“Unlike the perception in Chile, in Spain older people are respected, admired and have the possibility of sharing spaces with other generations. They are active, participate in social spaces, fully enjoy life, maintain intergenerational relationships, travel, teach and learn,” says Schnitzer.

On the other hand, BondUP expects to expand to the Spanish market in 2024, starting in Valencia and then extending to the country’s major cities. Michelle said that they hope to reach at least 10,000 users in Spain by the end of the year, while in Chile they aim to reach 50,000.

Since its foundation in 2013, Lanzadera has promoted more than 1,400 companies. Currently, nearly 300 companies are being accelerated in their facilities located in the city of Valencia.
